Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Skylr iOS app and skylr.app (collectively, the “Service”), operated by ZAWAYA GCC ADVERTISING & MARKETING COMPANY (“Skylr”, “we”, “us”), a company registered in Kuwait.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the Service.

1. The Service

Skylr is a personal trade-journal application. It records the buys and sells you enter, fetches live prices from public APIs, and calculates your cost basis, holdings, and realized / unrealized profit. The Service is for your personal record-keeping.

Not financial advice. Nothing in Skylr is a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold any asset. The Service does not execute trades. Numbers shown are derived from data you enter and from public price feeds that may be delayed, inaccurate, or unavailable. Always make your own investment decisions and consult a licensed advisor if you need one.

2. Your account

You must be at least 17 years old to use Skylr. You’re responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secret, and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, change your password and email us at wt@zawayagcc.com.

3. Your data, your rights

Trades, wallets, settings, notes — everything you enter is your data. Skylr stores it so the app can show it back to you and sync across your devices. We don’t claim ownership of it; we don’t use it to train ML models; we don’t sell it.

You can export your trade history to a spreadsheet at any time (Settings → Export). You can delete your account by emailing us; we complete deletion within 30 days. See our Privacy Policy for details.

4. Subscriptions and billing

Skylr offers a Free tier and paid Pro / Pro Annual tiers. Paid plans unlock additional features (Predict, exchange syncs, unlimited assets, priority support).

Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled at least 24 hours before renewal. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period — you keep access until then. We don’t pro-rate refunds for partial months / years.

App Store purchases made through Apple are governed by Apple’s own EULA and refund policy; cancellations and refunds for those are handled through your Apple ID account.

We reserve the right to change prices with at least 30 days’ notice. Existing paid subscribers keep their current price until renewal.

5. Third-party data

Price data comes from third-party APIs (CoinGecko for crypto, Twelve Data for stocks). We don’t guarantee its accuracy, completeness, or availability. Free-tier providers have rate limits and historical data cutoffs — Skylr handles these gracefully but charts may sometimes show approximate values for older dates.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the Service.
Resell or sublicense the Service.
Use the Service to violate any law.
Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service without prior written permission.
Send abusive, harassing, or threatening messages through the in-app support inbox.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules, with or without notice depending on severity.

7. Service availability

We aim for high availability but don’t guarantee uninterrupted service. Planned maintenance will be announced when feasible. We are not liable for losses caused by downtime, including missed trade opportunities.

8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Skylr’s liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or USD 100, whichever is greater.

We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of profits, data, or goodwill — arising out of your use of the Service.

9. Changes to the Service or to these Terms

We may modify or discontinue features at any time. We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date will change and material changes will be emailed to active accounts. Continued use after a change means you accept the new Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Kuwait. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts of Kuwait City, unless local consumer-protection law in your country gives you the right to a local forum.
