This page explains the cookies Skylr uses on skylr.app. We’ve kept the cookie surface as small as possible — no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, no third-party social plugins.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small piece of text that a website stores in your browser so it can remember things between page loads (like whether you’re signed in). Cookies are visible only to the site that set them.

Cookies Skylr uses

1. Essential — authentication session

Set by our authentication provider (Supabase Auth) when you sign in. Without this cookie, you would have to re-sign-in on every page load. Lifetime: typically 1 hour for the access token (refreshed automatically on every page view), 30 days for the refresh token.

What we don’t use

• No third-party advertising cookies.
• No Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or other tracking pixels.
• No cross-domain tracking.
• No personalised-ad cookies of any kind.

Future analytics

We plan to add a privacy-respecting analytics tool (Plausible or Umami) for aggregate page-view counts. Both are cookieless by design — they identify a session via a one-day hash of IP + user agent and never set a persistent identifier. When we add it, this page will be updated.

Controlling cookies

You can clear or block cookies via your browser’s settings. If you block essential cookies, sign-in won’t work and you won’t be able to use the Service.
